Reader Tab - Maxthon 2.x
From Maxthon Wiki
A reader tab allows to browse from an index page without risk of losing the index page.
If you click a New Posts link, or do a search on Google, then right click the result tab and select New Reader Tab, it creates a splitview if one is not yet opened. From that point on any link you click on the 'parent' tab will open in the reader tab. That is until you close the Reader Tab. It remains linked to the tab it was opened from, so you can create multiple linked parent/reader tabs in the same session.
Careful, this opening in the reader tab also is true for 'Next Page' links if you've reached the end of your results page. If you want to keep the search results in the left side, then first close the reader tab before clicking the Next Page link. Then just create a new reader tab.
