These are some of the new functions introduced in Maxthon 2, and they all serve you for a better, faster, safer browsing.

[edit] Online Favorites
Maxthon 2.0 contains automatic online favorite & feed synchronization
With the new automatic favorite/feed synchronization feature it's possible to access your favorites from any computer. Just login to your Maxthon account and your favorites will be loaded in the browser. With this feature you'll also have a backup of your favorites & feeds available, useful in case your computer crashes and you don't have a backup available. This feature is fully automatic, no need to remember to sync them yourself. For privacy reasons you will be asked to activate this feature when you start using this browser.
[edit] The Isolator (Freeze Preventing System)
The emergence of Tabbed Browsing Mode and the increasing usage of Ajax Technology in websites might cause frequent freezing while browsing. And Maxthon Browser has developed a new architecture named The Isolator to solve this problem, and make surfing more fluent.
By the help of The Isolator, if a tab becomes unresponsive for any reason, the other tabs and the browser are unaffected. The computer user can continue to browse normally and can refresh, reopen, or close the tab that is creating problems.

One of the most notable features in Maxthon 2 is the ability to upload your settings, favorites and Collector data to Maxthon's servers for free, so that you can restore them on any other Maxthon installation on any other machine.
From the moment you register a new account in Maxthon Passport, you will be able to take advantage of these online services.
[edit] Magic Fill
Magic Fill is a built-in form filler. It support auto-login forms (automatically login to websites that require authentication), and general forms, registration forms for example. Form data is stored encrypted on your harddisk.
[edit] Maxthon Smart Acceleration
Maxthon Smart Acceleration (MSA) consists of many optimizations made on network transmission efficiency, browser cache machanism and contents interpretation intelligence, with reference to general user habits.
MSA has 2 acceleration modes:
- Default mode (can be activated in Setup Center > Advanced > Enable Web Accelerator, which is on by default) aims trouble free browsing and uses a relatively conservative approach for good browsing speed without causing problem.
- Super MSA (can be activated/deactivated on per site basis through the "flash" icon in the status bar) aims maximum browsing speed and improves the browsing speed very noticeably, especially for frequently visited sites and sites with slow connection.
[edit] File Sniffer
Using the file sniffer you can see which files are loaded by the websites you open. Useful for developers, for blocking advertisement scripts or for users who like to know where video sites like YouTube download their FLV movies from.
[edit] Trusted Sites
While you are visiting a special site (like an online bank service) which might need your personal information, Maxthon 2.0 will show a symbol to indicate that if the site is safe and reliable. Meantime the address bar will turn green.
This will prevent you from visiting some fake sites which might cause your loss.

Probably the most usable function in the final version. Especially for those ones who are dealing with words all day long. Collector is like an embedded notepad tool. Users don’t have to open a notepad and switch between it and the browser anymore. And it can be uploaded to the server automatically just like online favorites. Users can access the info from any computer.
[edit] Screen Capture
You get multiple ways of capturing the screen.
1. Capture Fullscreen is just like the PrintScreen key on the keyboard. The difference is that you can set the folder to save the image.
2. Capture region mode is the most usable mode. Press Ctrl+F1 and you are in this mode. Select the region you want to capture, and then double click on it.
3. Capture window mode is used for capturing the image which is displayed in a single program window.
4. Capture current web page is used a lot, too. It makes you be able to capture the whole web page which cannot be totally displayed in the screen.
5. Capture all web pages. Just like the “capture current web page” mode, but this mode lets you capture all the web pages at one time.

This floating button will be displayed while hovering over images, flash objects and other objects. You can use it to easily zoom, copy the URL, save or add the object or image to Adhunter.
