Welcome to the beginners guide of Maxthon 2.x, this guide will give you some basic information about Maxthon's main features and its usage for the first time.

[edit] How to Download and Install Maxthon 2.x
- You can go to http://www.maxthon.com/download.htm to get the latest Maxthon Browser. Click on that button, the file will be downloaded to a location on your hard drive.
- After the download finish, navigate over to the location where you save the downloaded file and double-click it to start.
- The first screen you see is a whole bunch of legal stuff that every software has. After carefully reading the License agreement, and you feel that you can accept it, select the Accept radio button. If, for some reason, you don't, then click that you don't accept and you'll be out of the process and nothing has installed in your machine.
- Followed by choose desktop shortcuts, software folder, then hit the Install button, the installation process start do what it need, and you can take a break.
- Whe the whole process finish, you can choose to open the Maxthon Browser to start your Internet Journey now.
[edit] How to uninstall Maxthon 2.x
- You can find an "Uninstall Maxthon" icon in the Program Group of Maxthon. Click it and follow the instructions to uninstall Maxthon Browser.
- You can also uninstall Maxthon Browser via "Start -> Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs". Click the "Maxthon Browser" entry and click the "Remove" button, then follow the instructions to uninstall Maxthon Browser.
[edit] How to set Maxthon 2 as the default browser
In Tools -> Maxthon Setup Center, select Start Up in the upper left and then next to Check if Maxthon is Default Browser at startup you'll see the option Set as Default Browser.
